Nafiza Islam, Kamrunnahar Happy, Rabbir Rashedin Tirno, E-Learning Adoption in Higher Education During Covid-19,A Comparative Analysis between Graduate and Undergraduate Students, Jahangirnagar University Journal of Management Rese, 05, pp.47-65, 2022.A vibe in research regarding the intention of using online learning during the COVID-19 crisis has got a spike. The drive of this study was to investigate the comparative analysis of the factors that influence the attitudes and willingness to use online learning platforms between graduate and undergraduate students with the extended application of the TAM model. As the research design, a deductive and quantitative research approach has been applied and tested the hypotheses on the data collected from 338 students from various public and private universities in Bangladesh. To conduct the data analysis, the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used and SmartPLS version 3.2.7 software was administrated. The relationship between SN and intention to use, PEOU, or PU along with CSE with PU and with students’ intention to adopt e-learning has a similar effect considering graduate and undergraduate students. Quite the reverse, the relationship between Computer Self-Efficacy (CSE) with PEOU and students’ intention to use e-learning technology showed significantly different results considering graduate and undergraduate students.
Tauhid Ahmed Bappy, Rabbir Rashedin Tirno, Investigating Tourists’ Attitude and Intention to Visit Resorts in Bangladesh: An Empirical Analysis, 11, 2022.
Purpose: This study intends to investigate the predictors of tourists' attitudes and intentions to visit resorts in the context of Bangladesh. Design/Approach/Methodology: A quantitative research design has been followed in this study. In doing so, the researchers used a cross-sectional survey method to collect responses from 373 respondents using a judgmental sampling technique. A research model was developed based on the principles of behavioral reasoning theory. Besides, the research model's reliability, validity, and hypotheses were tested using partial least square-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings: This study confirmed that the physical environment of resorts, tourists' perception of price justice, and perceived security positively influence tourists' attitudes toward visiting resorts. Surprisingly, the authors found that perceived crowdedness positively influences tourist attitudes. Moreover, contrary to the researchers' belief, the study demonstrated that health & hygiene risks do not contribute significantly to tourist attitudes. In addition, it was found that a positive tourist attitude leads to a stronger intention to visit resorts. Furthermore, this study revealed that the physical environment, perceived price justice, and perceived security indirectly affect visit intention through customer attitude. Practical Implications: The outputs and implications presented in this study will stimulate the stakeholders to focus on improving the resorts' physical environment. Moreover, this study presents how to use several bundle pricing methods to ensure price justice to influence tourist attitudes. Besides, this study details the security steps resort authorities should ensure from guest check-in to check-out. Originality: To the best of the researcher's knowledge, this study has been one of the first attempts to explain the predictors of tourist attitudes and behavioral intention in the resorts of Bangladesh by applying and validating behavioral reasoning theory.
Kamrunnahar Happy, Nafiza Islam, & Rabbir Rashedin Tirno, Mental Health and Academic Performance during COVID-19: The Pre-Dominant Role of Perceived Stress, Anxiety, and Depression on Academic Performance, Journal of Mental Health Issues and Behavior(JMHIB), 03, 01, 2023. doi: https://doi.org/10.55529/jmhib.31.31.44The rising concerns regarding mental health arising from the challenges due to pandemics emerged and it’s negative effects on academic performance. Stress and depression levels affected students’ mental well-being as well as academic performance. Surprisingly, this study revealed that the anxiety level of this young generation due to COVID-19 does not influence their activities rather students to have a strong mental capacity to maintain adverse situations. The most possible reason could be their belief that the impact of coronavirus is very low among the young generation. Therefore, they are not anxious about the coronavirus during the pandemic. Rather, they are having depression and stress due to the absence of a proper educational environment.
Rabbir Rashedin Tirno, Nafiza Islam, Kamrunnahar Happy, Green HRM and ecofriendly behavior of employees: Relevance of proecological climate and environmental knowledge, Heliyon, 09, 06, 2023. doi: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.heliyon.2023.e14632Human Resource Management (HRM) helps develop an ecofriendly culture by molding employee behavior. However, numerous elements also play critical roles. The intent of this article was to inspect the influence of green HRM on workers' in-role and extra role ecofriendly behavior using the mediating effect of proecological climate and green empowerment. The regulating effect of environmental knowledge on workers' extra role behavior was also planned to investigate. To inspect the data, this study employed a two-stage approach of structural equation modeling (SEM). Purposive sampling was applied to collect data for the study, which included an empirically verified questionnaire. The discoveries from the study revealed that environmental knowledge doesn’t strengthen the affiliation between GHRM and employees’ extra role ecofriendly behavior. Besides, proecological climate and green engagement have an important role to shape employees’ ecofriendly activities. The results of the study can assist the industry-wide decision-making process. It will also open new ground to study other sectors.
Rabbir Rashedin Tirno1 Nisha Qurishy2, Influencing Employee Performance Through Knowledge Management: The Role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior as a Mediator, Jahangirnagar University Journal of Management Research, 6, pp.32-51, 2023. doi: 10.59185/jujmr.v6i1.8The study sought to evaluate the effects of knowledge management on employee performance through Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), where knowledge management is classified into three key functions: knowledge conversion, and application. The research intended to employ structural equation modeling to evaluate the framework with the Smart-PLS software package. The sample size of the investigation was 131 which were gathered through purposive sampling technique from 16 branches of ten renowned private commercial banks located in Dhaka metropolis. The study found that while information transfer has the opposite effect, knowledge application and conversion have a favorable impact on employee performance. Furthermore, OCB controls the relationship between knowledge conversion and employee performance. The major limitation of the study is that it didn't consider the cultural and demographic effects on the framework which has given an opportunity for future research. The major limitation of the study is that it didn't consider the cultural and demographic effects on the framework which has given an opportunity for future research. This study will assist the managers of the business firms in coordinating their efforts to establish a knowledge-sharing culture within the organization complying with high employee performance.
Rabbir Rashedin Tirno, Jinia Afroz Sharmin, An Empirical Study on the Business Intelligence (BI) Data Collection Strategy in the ICT-Based Startups in Bangladesh, Jahangirnagar University Journal of Management Research (JUJMR), 4, 1, pp.85-106, Jahangirnagar University, 2021.Business intelligence (BI) has now become a buzzword in this era of information and communication technology. Data is treated as the fuel for business intelligence. The motive of this paper is to examine the influence of the external antecedents on the selection of BI data collection strategies of the ICT-based startups in Bangladesh. This study developed and analyzed a theoretical model grounded on different external factors that influences the decision to implement two BI data collection strategies (comprehensive and issue-driven) along with one mediator that mediates the relationship of two external antecedents and issue-driven BI data collection. The snowball sampling was used to collect the survey data from experienced BI professionals working in different startups in Bangladesh. The results of the study showed that stakeholders’ satisfaction and system quality affect the choice of data collection strategy whereases competitive pressure and institutional isomorphism have no effect on the choice of BI data collection strategy.
